
In the mid-twenties, Germany secretly resumed the creation of promising armored combat vehicles for the rearmament of the army.
Magirus ARW (Achtradwagen) was a most successful early Germany armored car.
After the factory tests in late 1929, one of the prototypes was sent to the USSR in the tank school "Kama" near Kazan. To hide from the countries of the former Entente the presence in the Wehrmacht of new technology.
The tests took place until 1933. After that the armored car was sent back to Germany.
There is no exact information on the future fate of the experienced ARW.
This experience was used to create Sd.Kfz.231 (6-rad) and Sd.Kfz.231 (8-rad) armored cars.

This work is based on the Den Bels 1/72 scale resin kit with a many additional parts.
I made:
The Schwarzlose machine guns, the exhaust system, the rear wheel holder, the headlamp release handles, the tow hooks, and a number of other small parts all over the body.
I added too:
The bolts and hinges on the rear engine hatch, the rivets on the front and rear bumpers, etched straps, drawer handles
I made color modulation, filters, washes, oil points, rust effects, chipped, scratches dirt, dust, streaking effects of various shades.
