Unlike other European countries, the Austro-Hungarians started building their armored cars quite late. Thus, the armored car of Romfell (P.A.2) became the second (after Junovicz P.A.1) Austro-Hungarian armored vehicle. It was released in 1915. And took part in the First World War.
Of all the armored vehicles created at that time, Romfell had a futuristic appearance.
The 1915 vehicle used in both the Balkans and in Russia. At least one Romfell fought on the Italian front in 1918, as part of K.u.K. Panzerautozug No.1.
One Romfell also fell into the hands of the Romanian troops at the end of 1919.
